River Oak Dental moved a lot while growing up, but he graduated from Lafayette High School and fell in love with the people of Lafayette! He often says, "This is the best place I've ever lived!" He graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge and from the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. He is married to Carmen Schexnailder Nichols, from Arnaudville, LA, and they have one daughter, Natalie, who is a registered nurse working in Birmingham, Alabama.
